Luftbild, Nordsee, Amrum, Kniepsand, Nordspitze Amrum | Der Norddorfer Badestrand auf der Insel Amrum liegt westlich auf dem Kniepsand und ist Teil des Naturschutzgebiets Amrumer Dünen. Der Strand ist bekannt für seine weite, sich ständig verändernde Sandfläche, die durch die nordwärts gerichtete Bewegung des Kniepsands immer breiter wird. Diese Veränderung ist besonders deutlich an der Entwicklung des Strandes seit dem 19. Jahrhundert zu erkennen, als der Kniepsand sich von einem Winkel zur Insel zubewegte und schließlich den Badestrand erweiterte.
